Jun. 12th, 2003 10:07 pmToday was my first ten-hour day since my last job. I had loose ends to tie up.
Also at work today, they held a benefits fair, where they opened up the conference rooms and training rooms and had all the banks and insurance companies and a couple of gyms set up booths. If you got signatures from four booths, it validated your raffle ticket and you could win various swag. Pure Fitness's booth, naturally, was in the lunch room, between the candy machine and the drink machine.
The AFLAC saleslady went to my high school, and recognized me, though not by name. I thought that was neat, but immediately after revealing that, she went into sales-droid mode, where she spoke in entire paragraphs without taking a breath, and opened pamphlets to pages while pointing to numbers that were right-side up only from my point of view. Eep. But she was cute, for a robot.
I should learn some more Greek. I know the alphabet already, mostly. It will be useful.
