Jun. 1st, 2003 07:42 pmWell, it paid off already.
I had it tape Saturday Night Live, so I could just skip ahead and watch Update, and it pointed out helpfully that there was a rerun from 1979 on later that evening. A complete episode, with Eric Idle as host, and Bob Dylan as the musical guest. Sweet.
And, as an added bonus, I got to see Andy Kaufman wrestle a woman.
This is going to work out for me, because I love to tape weird things, but very little of it ends up being organized. On any given video tape, I have an episode of "Almost Live" from Seattle, two random lessons of "Let's Learn Japanese", some Russian animation I taped off IFC in '99, and maybe at the end, a Tonight Show appearance by the creators of South Park, and remnants of some classy European erotica I taped off Cinemax in '96. Now I can organize it all before it goes on the tape.
