yay! My TiVo arrived in the mail today!

boo! My apartment managers said I couldn't use their phone line tonight; I would have to come by tomorrow morning and do the thing there.

bah. It could have been taping tomorrow's early-morning rerun of last week's Conan O'Brien show. oh well.

oh yeah, I also got my WIRELESS ROUTER working! Though I don't know if the wireless part works yet because the TiVo hasn't been "awakened" yet.

What's the standard way of scanning my apartment building to see if anyone has an insecure WLAN I can poke around in?
