THEM party
Aug. 25th, 2002 04:24 pmLately, I've had awesome times at THEM party-like events.
I had been slacking on my Adult Swim for a long time, so I hadn't seen Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law yet. They screened four or five episodes last night, though. Man, this is the show I never EVER thought they would have dreamed of making, ever. The Superfriends episode and the Scooby-Doo episode were almost as subversive as Seanbaby's Super-Friends page. You'll have to see for yourself.
Also, Dark Nick makes cordials as a hobby, and I had some. A lot, even. Mostly the wintergreen, but also some of the fruity ones. I'm not saying I got totally faced, but there was a marked personality change.
Dave also received, as a gift, one of those word games where you make your partner say a set of words. The game was called "25 words or less." The rule is you are given five words, and your opponent must say them, but you may give only 25 words as clues, total. We played sort of non-competitively, and found the task to be very difficult. I think I was the first to lead someone into guessing three out of five. I think the highlight was Dave's "ten-word specials", where he'd give a one- or two-word clue and that would be enough for almost all five words. I was on the guessing end of one of those, and it was like telepathy. Drunken telepathy. Though, as the night progressed, we threw all the rules out the window, people giving ninety-word clues for one word and so forth.... next time might be a little stricter.
And I noticed it's no longer quite as painful to sit on the floor as it used to be.
