I'm just about to sit down and enjoy some nice French toast my mother made, when the kitchen telephone's evil beabling shriek tears through the room. I swear, there are fire alarms more soothing than that telephone.

It's my doctor's office, and they want me to get a chest X-ray to verify my TB test results. And no, it can't wait until I get back.

It's less than 30 hours to my flight, and I have no indication that there's anything I can do with the results once I'm overseas. And I am so not cancelling my trip, not after all the work I've done and all the work my family and friends have done to help me. I'm totally willing to brush off the X-ray and tell fate to go fuck itself and go ahead and just try and give me TB in the middle of my trip. (Actually, the most recent conversation with the nurse seemed to imply that I don't have TB, but I might have been exposed to people who have had it, whatever that means..)

I should never have gone in for those shots Thursday. The hep-B shot will be useless for my trip, and the TB test is just causing my family to turn our lives even more upside-down than it already is. They totally didn't tell me I'd be going through all this.

While I was at FBC yesterday, I had the nurse look at the skin test and she said it looked like a negative to her. And I've heard so many people talk about this test giving false positives.

Right after I give everyone my new web e-mail address the spammers don't know about at atari.net, the website goes down.

So, everyone continue using my io.com address for now...

I might take [livejournal.com profile] vardissakheli's advice and see the Netherlands before Luxembourg. It turns out that if I went to Brussels first, it would be an unnecessary zig-zagging, and I can't see Luxembourg first because Andrew Pearson will be out of town on April 1.

I could skip Belgium entirely and spend more time in France, perhaps, too, if I only knew where else I could go. I'll have someone help me with the map when I get there.

I just went to Ragin' Cajun for one last blast in the USA before my flight tomorrow. I had such a great time, I almost feel as if London will be a let-down; especially the food. It was [livejournal.com profile] littledevi's and [livejournal.com profile] jecook's first time at that restaurant, and they were a bit overwhelmed, especially since my entire family was there as well.

Now I just have to finalize lodgings.

Just to keep you updated:

1. It's not atari.net that's down; it's just that my parents' ISP can't seem to resolve www.atari.net. Doidy. Continue to send me mail there, I'll probably get it.
2. I missed that Andy Richter show because I was having an awesome time at Ragin' Cajun. Oh well, there's always five weeks from now.
