I'm confident with Tabasco power!
Nov. 22nd, 2001 11:07 amI"ve decided that, upon my safe return to Arizona, I will fill out the application and go for the JET program.
But since I have less than two weeks to turn in my application, I'll need lots of information to make sure I don't hate the program as
suzycreamcheese seems to.
I have read some of the application, and know that I have some say in where I might go. So, any information on which regions are friendlier to foreigners and have better trains would be helpful. I've sent mail to Devi's friend Noah, but haven't heard back from him. But according to Devi, he went to Osaka, and loved it. I know everyone's going to be itching to get into Tokyo, and that it's expensive to live there, so I won't try that. And, well, I know the names of some major cities in Japan, like Kyoto, and... uh... well. hmm. Does anyone else have any other geographic data that might be helpful?
I have a lot of social anxiety, and I'm not fond of being the center of attention, but I've managed it in the past. The JET program strikes me as something that's a little more than I can handle, which is perfect.
Of course, I say that now, as I'm in a good mood today. I must have used up all my jitters last night, or maybe that Tabasco sauce I put on my sandwich inspired me.
