Jul. 9th, 2001 10:04 pmAh, an adventure today. After a brief shopping trip and a massage at one of those water-jet-massage places at the mall, I hopped on the bus and went home. Then I remembered I forgot my keys at the massage place. I didn't want to call the maintenance guy, pay to have him let me in my own place, and so forth. So I started walking back to the mall. Luckily, on the way, a bus picked me up, even though I was between stops.
I went into the mall, went to the massage station, and nobody was there, and my keys weren't there in the little tray. I wondered if they'd return, and what I might be able to do to bring them back earlier. I then thought I might check the drawers next to the cash register, and lo! there they were.
Though I can't help but wonder if some security tape somewhere will misinterpret my actions and I'll get thrown out next time I go to that mall. I got flashbacks of when I was banned from a Chevron station for a mistake induced by a combination of heat stroke and BluBlocker-induced color-blindness.
On the other hand, there are people who literally get away with murder. As in they kill another human being and they don't go to jail. So I should be able to get away with taking my own keys out of an unmanned massage kiosk.
And change. The change is what looks incriminating. But I need my laundry quarters.
