Jul. 27th, 2008 12:29 amI have an audio tape of a presentation by Warren Robinett, at Classic Gaming Expo, on the making of Adventure for the Atari 2600.
One day, I set off the alarm walking into Virgin Megastore, so they took my bag and demagnetized everything in it, which happened to include that tape. The presentation is still on there, but random syllables from one side of the tape keep melting through to the other.
It had a 1-800 number for the company that put the tapes together, so I called it.
It was a short recorded message telling me I could talk to girls from all across the country by calling some other 1-800 number.
This is what happens to a phone number after six years?
I'm afraid of what will happen if I write to the PO Box. And I wonder if that hotel is even still up.
