Remember Kozmo, the delivery service for ice cream and porn?

"Poor people always tip better than rich ones."

A service like that would be good to have, if it could be done in a way that a company could make money.

We bought groceries from Home Runs most of the time that we lived in Arlington, Mass. We liked them. Home Runs failed around the same time as Webvan, and now Peapod has an effective monopoly on that market-- but Peapod is nowhere near as nice, probably because they aren't hellbent on losing money.

Also, now we have cars with automatic transmissions that I can drive, so Sam isn't stuck doing all the grocery-store runs. She hated that.
