(no subject)

I walked into the 7-Eleven this evening, and saw a guy in a Discount Cab, selling gallon jugs of gasoline.

And it looked like he was having a little trouble getting rid of it, too.

Something tells me the bus will be a little more crowded tomorrow.

How funny - we were at that very 7-Eleven from 11 to 12:30.

apparently there was a problem where a pipeline coming in to Phoenix burst and some gas stations have run out of gasoline because of it. This happened last week, and I noticed that gas prices went up since then too.

Heh. "went up" is an understatment.

The price rose at the rate of about 4 cents an HOUR for a while.

The price is now at or around the same as it was in April, when it peaked at around 2.00 a gallon.

And the lines are bringing a lot of people flashbacks of the 70's gas shortages.

Gallon jugs as in steel cans, or gallon jugs as in plastic spring water jugs full of petrol?

Steel cans.

But I have a hard time referring to anything as a "can" unless it's cylindrical; gas cans tend to be rounded cubes of sorts.
