(no subject)

I remember vaguely an Atari 8-bit game from my childhood.

It, or at least the cracked version thereof, was 138 sectors long, meaning it was between 17125 and 17250 bytes.

It was a large multi-screen platformer, and it had something to do with dragons.

I must find this game, same as I found Xagon and Hard Hat Willy.

I dunno, but when I read "8-bit Atari" I was thinking 400/800... Maybe I'm off base. I still can't think of what game it would be, though.

There were a couple sidescrolling/platform games based on the Dragonlance novels released (by SSI, I believe) for the Amiga/C-64/ST, but I don't know if they were ported to the Atari 8-bit platform. That's probably too recent, though... Like late 80's.

Whoops, I zoned out on the "sector" part. I just assumed it was the 2600, the console did use the 8-bit M6507. But yes, the 400/800 used the 8-bit M6502, so the 400/800 makes more sense here.
