Human skin is really a miracle. Even when there's something wrong with it, it tends to do its job quite well. When there's a blemish, it usually fades at some point. When there's a stain, it almost always washes out. And it doesn't tear very easily, though I imagine if you could feel jeans ripping, you wouldn't let that happen very often either.

But then, how do you explain hair? It's pretty durable, too.

I believe you've just explained why garments made out of human skin fetch such high prices.

I wonder how long it would take to troll some [livejournal.com profile] popularpeople reader into thinking that rich people actually buy clothing made of peopleskin...

Dunno. depends on the troll-ee.

it'd be funny though.

Skin is a cool thing. It's both water resistant and water absorbant at the same time.
It's both flexible, yet can become as tough as leather.
