I ignore friend requests and pretend I don't use facebook regularly. If you have your permissions set tight enough, they have no way of knowing otherwise (I think).

I accepted my boss's request. I don't see a problem with it, as i don't really say or share anything sensitive on Facebook.

I would accept the request, and make sure you don't have any inappropriate content or links to inappropriate content on your account.
