I've known people who type without capitalizing the pronoun "I". Connotes people who don't think too highly of themselves.

The ultimate way to get across your downcast expression is to emphasize a lowercase i with italics:
he says he hasn't seen her for a while, but i know he was fucking her two minutes ago.
