What gets me about the Waco incident is the incredible arrogance and ignorance of the goverment and the complete public misconceptions about Branch Davidian practice and theology spread by the government. They most certainly *weren't* suicidal for one thing, and the list goes on and on. It's a tragedy that need not have happened. Unlike theories about flamethrowers and shit, there's actually evidence from both scholars of religion on Seventh Day Adventist schismatics and the writings and recordings of Koresh and the Davidians themselves.
