Oct. 2nd, 2002 09:52 pmJust got back from the Spanish group at Changing Hands Bookstore. I had fun reuniting with the group but, man, what a bookstore. What a neighborhood, even.
I only recognized one person from the group, and that was the guy who was always bugging me about how I know Esperanto. So I had to explain Esperanto to the group again, and he explained Interlingua, and there was another guy there, a professor at ASU, who brought up Klingon. Says he used to know the guy who invented it.
The bookstore was just amazing. I kept discovering parts of the store I hadn't noticed before. I picked up an audio course for the Czech language for $6. I'm glad I can get there by bus, because I'm going to be going back often.
There's a Trader Joe's right near there, too, where I picked up some soybean butter. I'll let you know how it holds up against peanut butter.
