I've been unhorsed.
I was on my way to see A Knight's Tale. I walked from work to the theater, which meant I had to cross Baseline at some point. So I crossed at the freeway.
But the freeway is rather thick, and the light cycles have been known to be short, and it was really hot and I wasn't about to sit and wait on the median for another two minutes. So I ran across the intersection, through the eastbound lanes, into the nice little groove they have on the median, and WHAM! I ran right into a "Push Here to Cross" sign that's leaning down about 20 degrees. I probably mistook it for its own shadow. I sustained giant red bruises to my left forearm and my left mantitty.
I staggered for about two minutes, cleared a few curse words out of my system, and crossed at the next cycle.
I continued on to see the movie anyway. Heartily endorse. I'll likely discuss it further when my boob is feeling better.
